Did I hear correctly?

Is it true? Are all of the problems in Louisiana thanks to a racist nation? Dont suppose the reason a city was built not only below sea level near a major body of water (i.e. ocean, sea), but also in a region that receives torrential rain fall each year was due to racism was it? Now... it is my understanding that during a crisis the best method is to devise a plan first, and then carry it out to achieve maximum efficiency. Once the plan has been devised based on that given situation, since not every one [situation] is the same, one generally acquires the resources in order to undertake this plan. In the situation of Louisiana, that requires a lot of manpower, vehicles, and numerous supplies to be sent in at once in an organized fashion or else it will break down. Given my knowledge about human behavior in situations such as this, they humans to panic easily and are susceptible to radical behavior.


So not only is it a problem of devising how to get the supplies there, but how to maintain order and safety so all can be taken care of without leaving some individuals out. The media does not help much in those situations however. What better way to gain viewers than by evoking emotions causing the need to want to watch more. The reporters out in the field are not only "getting the real story" but also adding to it with their own by censoring what is aired to the most tragic and worst of a situation. In a world of little privacy these days, the media has everyone wrapped around their fingers. They can take the simplest of situations and twist them to become more appealing or even make them to effect someone or something. Driven by ratings or maybe even politics. In the world of today nothing remains non-biased.

Who gets blammed this time.

Am I the only one getting tired of hearing about FEMA? It seems to me that these recent events show a few things about our government and society. For example, one being that despite an oncoming hurricane, some choose to stay behind and when their house gets blown over, flooded, or whatever, they immediately turn to the government and start to point fingers for their own decision. At the same time the government which we all are a part of, seems to also be pointing fingers at who to blame for what the citizens in that effected region are trying to pin on as well. We U.S. citizens have really dug ourselves a major hole in how everything is handled in the government. They, (the U.S. government), are unable to do anything in fear of stepping on someones toes, which will in turn lead to lawsuits, followed by investigations, and either resolved in a speedy manor due to media pressure, or pushed onto the backburner long enough to be forgotten.

Whats entertaining to hear about is people and government officials wanting public projects or services to be undertaken without raising taxes. How would you suppose is the government going to obtain the funding required? Why not just add it to our already massive tab in the trillions range. I think many dont understand that the government runs based on our money, we elect officials (assuming you actually voted) to carry out our needs for us. So when something goes wrong, sure lets point at the guy or gal we voted for and say that it is their entire fault that something went wrong after we put them in that position in the first place. Im not saying all politicians are right and we are wrong, but we need to seriously cut them a little slack, after all they are trying their hardest to make everyone happy without getting slapped with a lawsuit or federal investigation about what their job is.

Roaming Ideas.

As I sat at my desk in College Algebra preparing for the test coming up, my eyes couldn't help but stray out the window I was so close to and watch life go by. During my little day dream status, I thought about how lucky us Americans are in even the simplest of daily luxuries. Then I began to reminisce about my World History class, and some of our lessons on different empires throughout the ages. If you cannot tell already I have a serious problem of wandering thoughts. But anyway... Back to the story. I wonder how the people of those previous states thought about their society before its collapse. Were they concerned about the governing bodies status? The safety of their state? How their lives would be effected even? Or did they care at all? Who knows?! What I do know is that it is the people along with their government that make up a country, state, empire, republic, or whatever else their is.

We are all connected within it, so it is important for us all to pay attention and help one while the other helps us, or else who is watching who and then who knows what is really going on. How many actually read the paper, watch the news, or read what's posted on the web? Everyone should before those luxuries are swept right out from underneath our feet, leaving everyone wondering how it happened all of a sudden. These things do not happen in a day, a week, or even a month. They build over time reaching perilous heights before suddenly it all comes to a head. Then what happens? The same thing that has happened so many times before in history, we become a society read about or studied in institutions abroad. Or even by students like me in a fleeting moment of thought.

While attending high school in Browerville, I worked a bit on the schools website and through this was able to more or less teach myself some of the basics of html, the use of Dreamweaver, and web page basics on structure and design. I am hoping to pursue a career more on the service side of computers, but an off to the side job of web design might be quite fun as well.

Back to the web page. Earthlink has taken advantage of an excellent program called Trellix, and incorporated it into their customer service. I found it quite easy to use and understand the program along with its well constructed online help. So for those of you out there that are not quite html literate like me, take a look at Trellix.

Howdy. I am totally new to this whole blogging scene and understand very little about it, other than they seem to be used in the media alot. Has anyone else noticed they actually show blogs and websites on the national news stations now? Well anyways, I will be back with many posting in the near future.
